Learn more about the new IonWorks Barracuda system at our tutorial Tuesday, March 29th at 8:00 a.m. The IonWorks Barracuda system is capable of achieving a throughput of over 1,100 data points per hour by measuring 384-wells in parallel.

Both ligand-gated and voltage-gated ion channels can be measured utilizing 384 discrete amplifiers and a 384-channel fluidics head. Rapid solution exchange to assay rapidly desensitizing ligand-gated ion channels is achieved by utilizing a consumable with a unique flow-through assay well design.

The IonWorks PatchPlate consumable delivers the lowest available running costs. The system features Population Patch Clamp (PPC) recording (developed by Molecular Devices, Inc.) for success rates near 100% as well as Single Hole recording for assay development or clonal cell line optimization. The software features Assay Development and Screening modes to help optimize assays. Validation data from voltage- and ligand-gated ion channels will also be presented at the tutorial. Please come to our tutorial or visit booth #901 to find out more.
