Moritex to supply P&G with Scalp moisture sensors...
22 Feb 2006Moritex has recently finalised a deal to supply The Procter & Gamble Company, a US-based conglomerate with global presence in family health, beauty and household care markets, with a significant number of scalp moisture sensor devices.
With this transaction Moritex hopes to establish a closer relationship with P&G, and aims to further strengthen its presence in the international aesthetic market.
Recently, the skin and hair care markets have started to offer products containing herb and nutrient compounds to treat anti-aging demonstrating an industry shift towards more advanced cosmeceuticals, or cosmetic products with medicinal effects, in pursuit of more effective treatments.
P&G intend to use a moisture sensor device developed by Moritex to market products with dandruff preventative benefits within their Head & Shoulders® series. P&G's cosmeceutical shampoo, Head & Shoulders®, is the leading global anti-dandruff shampoo. The moisture sensor device developed for P&G is a pen shaped sensor designed to measure the moisture level of the scalp by pressing the sensor tip to the scalp. This device can help quantify the benefits of Head and Shoulders® on improving scalp's moisture.
Mr. Shigeyuki Morita, President and CEO of Moritex Corporation stated, "Moritex has always been a key player in providing counselling tools to the aesthetic market, and have been keeping a close eye on the shift from traditional cosmetics to cosmeceuticals. Moritex is committed to further service P&G and widen our business relationship. With the addition of a key client in P&G, Moritex will utilise its established business base to expand its presence in the international market.
