Motic Boosts Price: Performance and Flexibility with New ELITE BA410E Microscopes
4 Sept 2014Motic, a leader in digital microscopy, has announced their new BA410E microscopes. The new series encompasses improvements in optics, illumination, and staging, expanding opportunities for education, clinical analyses, routine and research microscopy. Offering brightfield, phase contrast, polarized light and fluorescence, the BA401E was engineered to be robust, economical, and easy-to-operate, especially important to meet the flexible and changing needs of multi-user facilities.
The BA410E uses improved, multi-coated EC-H Plan APO lenses to enhance image contrast and resolution, with a 6-place nosepiece offering capacity for multiple imaging modalities. The optional 0/100% phototube directs all the imaging light either to the viewer or the camera, critical for optimum documentation for fluorescence and other low light applications.
On the illumination front, this flexible stand can be fitted with the users’ choice of a standard 30W halogen lamp or upgraded to 50W halogen or 3 W LED. Both HBO and LED illuminators are available for fluorescence.
BA410’s large format stage (175x145mm) and mechanical stage (80x53mm) accommodate the variety of sample sizes required in labs which switch frequently from one application to another.
The BA410E will be on display at the upcoming meeting of the American Society of Cell Biology (Dec 7-9, Philadelphia, PA).
