New at Analytica: Geniom RT Analyzer - The Fully Automated Microarray Device

25 Feb 2008

The Geniom RT Analyzer is the newest member of the Geniom product family from febit designed for the automated processing of DNA and RNA microarray experiments:

The instrument at a glance:

  • Sample additions, hybridization, washing, staining and detection all in one instrument
  • Moved hybridization
  • One instrument for the entire process chain
  • Easy handling
  • Improved reproducibility, sensitivity, higher sample throughput

The all-inclusive instrument offers a microfluidic hybridization- and processing-station along with a scanner for the analysis of microfluidic Geniom microarrays.

The temperature control simplifies the incorporation of enzymatic reactions directly within the microfluidic biochip (e.g. signal enhancement or primer extension assays). The encompassing automation limits the hands-on time and handling mistakes thus leading to improved reproducibility, sensitivity, and higher throughput.

Geniom microarrays are available for:

  • microRNA profiling (Version 10.1 of the Sanger miRBASE)
  • mRNA Profiling (pathway arrays, focus arrays, other)
  • custom microarrays specified to customers exact needs

Geniom microarray biochips are produced on-demand and shipped out to customers after positive quality control tests.

For customers who have rapidly changing experimental demands and microarray designs can combine the Geniom RT Analyzer with the Geniom One. The Geniom One offers the self-synthesis of microarrays in the customer’s own laboratory and therefore allows for full control over the microarray experiment.
