New CapturePro 2.5 Image Acquisition Software for ProgRes^® Microscope Cameras

With newly added functions and icons, Version 2.5 of CapturePro control and image acquisition software optimizes operation control of ProgRes^® microscope cameras from JENOPTIK Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH.

Ergonomic and convenient operation control
A clearly increased live image rate and revised symbols make work with ProgRes^® microscope cameras even more easy and ergonomic. The monitor provides tools for convenient alignment of the specimen and the microscope, thus warranting expeditious and professional workflows at very high image quality.

Automatic exposure tracking
A brand new option of Capture Pro 2.5 software is continuous exposure tracking, which means that exposure time is continuously monitored and readjusted, for example, following a lens change. This helps users save setup time and is more specimen-friendly. In addition, automatic overexposure or underexposure can be selectively set – a special capability that has been integrated for ProgRes^® users involved in haematology.

Extended fluorescence mode
Fluorescence mode is intended for simple acquisition of multi-fluorescence micrographs, providing the user with dialog guidance through an image capturing procedure. With Version 2.5 of CapturePro it has now become possible to combine images that were taken using other contrast techniques with fluorescence mode images. For example, bright-field or DIC micrographs may be superimposed by fluorescence micrographs.

Shading data for image optimization
ProgRes^® CapturePro 2.5 software allows an unlimited number of shading images to be saved and applied. A user is thus able to create a specifically assigned shading image for each objective lens of his/her microscope and correct a lens’es inherent vignetting portions in a targeted manner.

Storable user profiles
Any user of Capture Pro 2.5 may save and reload his/her own profiles. This guarantees reproducible results in a broad variety of applications. Where several users share a common ProgRes^® imaging station, the familiar work environment will be available to each of them after a simple mouse-click. This saves time and prevents errors.

Free-of-charge download
The new Capture Pro 2.5 software package will be included in delivery of ProgRes^® microscope cameras with immediate effect. As in previous cases, it is also available for free-of-charge downloading from our webiste by owners of ProgRes^® cameras with a previous registration date.
