Syngene, a world-leading manufacturer of image analysis solutions is pleased to introduce ChemiFast, a new chemiluminescence substrate specifically designed for use with all Syngene’s chemiluminescence imaging systems. ChemiFast is highly sensitive and produces an enhanced signal that is stable for up to 24 hours, making it ideal for detecting even faint protein bands on Western blots.

The new ChemiFast is optimised for use with Syngene chemiluminescent imagers such as the G:BOX Chemi range or GeneGnome to produce strong signal intensity and a greater dynamic range than other substrates currently on the market. ChemiFast is more sensitive because it is recommended for use with highly diluted primary and secondary antibody concentrations. The benefit of this is researchers can detect femtogram levels of protein making it easier to identify and quantify even the faintest of protein bands.

Since ChemiFast is used with highly diluted antibodies, it reduces the consumption of reagents making ChemiFast a very cost-effective substrate.

Laura Sullivan, Syngene’s Divisional Manager stated: “Many commonly used Western blotting substrates produce a signal which is often only stable for a short time. This is a problem for many scientists and we’re delighted to address this with our new ChemiFast. Our highly sensitive ChemiFast substrate continues working for up to 10 times longer than many others currently available, ensuring users of any Syngene chemiluminescence imaging system will achieve outstanding results from their Western blots every time.”
