ViroStat, Inc has recently released a new set of Monoclonal Antibodies to the diarrhea causing toxins produced by the bacterium Clostridium difficle.

Once thought to be the result of aggressive antibiotic therapy in healthcare settings only, it is now more frequently occurring in healthy individuals and is considered by many as an emerging pathogen.

The symptoms are caused by two toxins that the organism produces, Toxin A and Toxin B. ViroStat, Inc. has recently released a new set of Monoclonal Antibodies to each of these toxins.

These valuable tools will aid researchers who are studying the pathogenesis of this organism. These high affinity antibodies can also be used for the rapid detection of toxins directly in stool.
