The new CytoGROW™ GLP CO2 incubator series from Sanyo offers precise control and a contamination resistance solution, ideal for a broad range of cell culture applications. This series now includes the 6.0 cu.ft. MCO-18AC, MCO-18AC(UV) and the 12.0 cu.ft. MCO-36AC and MCO-36AC(UV).

“The CytoGROW™ GLP Series CO2 incubators offer an impressive value proposition through the combination of SANYO-exclusive incubator technologies, controls, performance, and ease of use,” remarked Matt Siebert, SANYO Product Development Manager. “SANYO is a pioneer as it introduces some of the most innovative cell culture products in the market.”

Integral Contamination Resistance
The CytoGROW™ GLP CO2 incubator series is designed to accommodate a variety of microbiological and cell culture protocols used in various laboratory settings. Exclusive SANYO inCu saFe™ copper enriched stainless steel interior surfaces provide constant germicidal protection against cross contamination among specimens or contaminants introduced during routine door openings.

Optional SafeCell™ UV System
The optional SafeCell™ UV contamination control system offers significant benefits by minimizing interruptions for decontamination while it improves cell culture growth under stable, repeatable conditions. Active Background Contamination Control™ fights contamination while research is in progress. SafeCell™ UV includes a programmable ultraviolet lamp isolated from cell cultures that sterilizes conditioned air and the humidity reservoir water to prevent contamination without affecting cell cultures in vitro. This innovation inhibits the growth of mycoplasma, bacteria, molds, spores, yeasts and fungi without costly HEPA filter air scrubbers which accumulate contaminants in the chamber air.

Direct Heat and Air Jacket™ Heating System
The patented Direct Heat and Air Jacket™ surrounds the inner walls with a natural convection airflow that converts to radiant wall heat through thermal conduction to achieve accurate, uniform and highly responsive temperature control. Arranged in three zones, independent heating sources located in the side, top and rear walls of the chamber, base and outer door are each controlled by the microprocessor with continuous feedback from the chamber sensors.

Other Key Features

  • Ergonomic Cabinet Design- With a reversible outer door, a single SANYO incubator offers the industry's most flexible installation options available in either single or dual (stacked) cabinet configurations.
  • Thermal conductivity (TC) CO2 sensor with micro-processor for CO2 recovery without overshoot
  • Accurate and Precise Control- The CO2 setpoint is adjustable from 0 to 20% (in 0.1 increments) and the automatic CO2 control system delivers precise, reliable control.
