Starna has now integrated its range of Metal-on-Quartz filters with the comprehensive portfolio of Starna Certified Reference Materials. This allows customers to qualify the full range of the transmittance scale in UV-Visible spectrophotometers.

Manufactured and produced within the Starna ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO Guide 34 accreditation as a Reference Material producer, this Certified Reference Material adds to, and thereby extends the scope of available materials.

In a format, as per SRM 2013a which is no longer available from NIST, the filter’s metallic surface, used to define the transmission characteristics, is overlaid by an optically bonded cover plate thereby protecting the reactive optical surface from oxidation, contamination, or physical degradation.

Starna’s reference standard capability offers pharmaceutical and regulated laboratories an additional, traceable transmittance qualification procedure that may now be performed using solid state glass filters in a range of values between 1 and 92%T (2.0A to 0.04 A).
