New model series AMIDIA TX/TXB
31 Mar 2008Shimadzu, one of the world-leaders in analytical instrumentation, presents at Analytica 2008 trade fair in Munich, Germany the new AMIDIA TX/TXB model series within its product range of precision and portable balances. Numerous functions implemented as standard on all models make the use of these balances much more convenient and straightforward. This is also integrated in the name, which is composed of “Amigo” (Spanish for friend) and “Media” (communication).
Precision and robustness through new measuring sensors
Precision and robustness are the most important features and Shimadzu has developed two completely new measuring sensors for this purpose:
• an extremely robust weighing cell with up to 60,000 intervals for the TXB series
• a new third generation UniBloc1 for the TX models
Both sensors distinguish themselves through their extremely fast response behavior, excellent reproducibilities and improved robustness.
Comfortable and easy-to-use
Handling and haptics are two requirements which users find very important. Shimadzu has used these as guidelines in the development of the AMIDIA balances. Haptics, for instance, become evident in the smooth-gliding doors of the windbreak system and the keypad with its pressure keys. The high-resolution display has also been improved with all selected preset values now being displayed.
A separate keypad, the so-called “Smart Ring”, enables intuitive navigation via the individual menu operation keys. A small symbol within the display helps the user by pointing towards the selectable menu keys.
Additional helpful functions of the TX/TXB series are the dispensing mode, the piece counting mode with data storage function as well as the fixed quantity weighing mode. The integrated Windows Direct function enables printing the weighing values directly from within the Windows application without installing additional software.
Together with various filter functions which can be changed even during a measurement, the balances are adaptable for use under the most difficult operating conditions.
