New NP785 ultra-low pressure transmitter from Novus
23 Aug 2020CAS Dataloggers has announced the new NP785, an ultra-low differential pressure transmitter from Novus Automation, designed for measuring very small differential pressures in neutral and non-corrosive gases found in clean rooms, labs, HVAC systems, and industrial environments. The NP785 can operate bi-directionally, providing the ability to measure differential pressure ranges from vacuum to positive pressure. The device has a linear output and a measuring range configurable via USB (by using the configuration software). The analog output proportional to pressure and can be configured for either 0-10 V or 4-20 mA output.
The NP785 is available in 2 models with ranges of either ± 2 or ± 8 inches of water (± 5mbar or ± 20mbar). The output can be scaled to any values within these nominal ranges with a resolution of 0.001 inches of water or 0.001 mbar. In addition to the analog outputs, the NP785 also features an RS485 serial port that provides data via Modbus RTU for connection to other data loggers or SCADA systems. A USB port allows it to be easily configured via the free Novus NXperience software.
Key features:
- Accuracy of 1%
- Rugged ABS/PC housing with DIN Rail mounting
- Nickel hose barb connectors for 1/8” to ¼” (4 to 6 mm) tubing
- Internal temperature compensation for long-term stability
- Powered by 12 to 30 VDC or via USB
- EN/IEC 61326-1 EMC compatibility
The NP785 is ideal for applications such as measuring the differential pressure in HVAC ducts, laboratory fume hoods, isolation rooms, clean rooms, surgery rooms, industrial storage cabinets, paint booths or anywhere a small positive or negative pressure needs to be monitored
