New ProLab laboratory meters from SCHOTT Instruments

2 May 2006

Following the succesful introduction of their Lab series instruments, SCHOTT Instruments announces yet another new laboratory meters series combining innovative technology with superb design. The series includes the pH meter ProLab 1000 and the multiparameter instrument ProLab 2000.

SUPERB DESIGN

At the first glance, the ProLab instruments are distinguished by elegant design and fine workmanship. The bottom part is made of cast metal and the large, paper-white graphic display is covered with a one-piece glass slide. These instruments will be a delight to look at and to use.

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY

The ProLab instruments feature SCHOTT Instruments’s wireless sensor recognition introduced earlier with the Lab 870. The new ID sensors send their specific data wireless to the measuring instrument, which thereby always uses the correct calibration for the identified sensor, helping to avoid measurement errors. Even two sensors connected simultaneously (with ProLab 2000) can be recognized reliably.

The same transponder technology is used for the new and distinctive feature of the automatic wireless user recognition. This is an electronic identification card in a keyring pendant, that only needs to be drawn close to the instrument to identify the owner as a registered user for GLP compliant measurements.
