A new online process analyzer that measures chlorine and other key water quality parameters is designed to deliver high performance and cost of ownership savings in drinking water, industrial, and wastewater treatment applications.

The Thermo Scientific Orion Chlorine XP analyzer uses colorimetric DPD chemistry to provide accurate measurements of free, total residual and combined chlorine in water. Design innovations in the Chlorine XP analyzer also measure other key water quality parameters, such as pH and temperature, reducing the need to purchase multiple analyzers. In addition, reagent consumption is decreased, providing cost savings for water or industrial plant operators. From brine and wastewater to clean drinking water, the Chlorine XP analyzer is a comprehensive solution for effective process water treatment.

Reducing Costs of Water Analysis

“Municipal water plants as well as industrial plants that depend on clean water for their processes are under increasing pressure to lower their costs while maintaining the highest levels of quality,” said Steve Fletcher, vice president and general manager, water analysis instruments, Thermo Fisher Scientific. “Our Chlorine XP analyzer is designed for reduced cost of ownership with its minimal maintenance, multi-parameter functionality, and long reagent shelf life.”
