SANYO North America Corporation, Biomedical Solutions Division launches its new PRO Series™ -86ºC Ultralow Temperature Freezers. Manufactured with foam-in-place insulation to maximize interior temperature uniformity, the units are ideally suited for use in hospitals and laboratories for long-term preservation and storage of blood, specimens and components, as well as material testing.

On the launch, Matt Siebert, Product Development & Sourcing Manager stated, “The SANYO PRO Series™ represents the industry’s most advanced combination of cabinet design, electronics, refrigeration and critical components for enhanced security, better performance, product safety and cost effective, energy efficient preservation at -86°C.”

Enhanced Performance, Reliability and Temperature Uniformity
The SANYO cascade refrigeration system uses SANYO-designed compressors for highperformance
and reliability. Refrigeration components are carefully selected and matched for optimum operation under demanding laboratory environments. Increased cooling capacity improves temperature recovery after door openings, while quieter operation is achieved through condenser fan blade design, noise abatement insulation and anti-vibration mounts. Voltage boosters and surge protection devices permit dependable operation over wider power ranges and environmental conditions.

Energy Efficient Cascade Cooling System
Utilizing SANYO Cool Safe™ compressors and microprocessor control, the system is balanced
to decrease component stress, increase system longevity and reliability, and improve temperature
uniformity, a necessity for better cell viability.

Green Benefits
The PRO Series™ freezers offer significant benefits through a balance of refrigeration power, cabinet construction and intelligent control over all functions. SANYO freezers are designed to support LEED certification associated with the U.S. Green Building Council recommendations. Heat output is limited to minimize the impact on HVAC demands and a microprocessor controller oversees the refrigeration system to regulate cooling cycles and reduce energy consumption. Patented Cool Safe™ compressors lower internal and external heat output. Additionally, components are compliant with RoHS directives on the use of hazardous materials in electrical and electronic equipment.

Other Features:
-Conventionally Insulated Inner doors help maintain interior temperature during routine openings
-Full alarm package including high and low temperature alerts, control temperature, power
failure, door alarm, power failure, filter check/failure and auto return.
-MDF-U5486SC holds 320 fiberboard 2” boxes, MDF-U7486SC holds 480 fiberboard 2” boxes
