Lumen Dynamics has introduced the latest enhancements to the X-Cite® XLED1 fluorescence LED illumination solution extending functionality and control through the integration with market leading image acquisition software applications. These include MetaMorph® Software by Molecular Devices, µManager by University of California, San Francisco, and SlideBook by Intelligent Imaging Innovations.

The new X-Cite® XLED1 is a high-powered LED illumination system that offers an internal pulse generator for high speed multi-color live cell imaging. With new software integration capabilities, the X-Cite® XLED1 enables researchers to easily integrate into pre-defined experimental protocols with full control of the system through existing software while achieving optimal imaging.

“We are delighted to have X-Cite® XLED1 integrated into additional software applications enabling researchers to fully control our advanced LED solution alongside other imaging equipment without the need to alter existing protocols or imaging set-ups,” says Allan Firhoj, President and CEO of Lumen Dynamics.

MetaMorph® Software is used for image acquisition, processing and analysis. It offers researchers full control for automated imaging and sophisticated analysis for a wide range of imaging applications.

µManager is an open-source imaging software platform that integrates into a single unified platform to control microscopes and associated peripheral equipment. µManager allows researchers to extend its capabilities to meet their specialized imaging needs and is available on the Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.

SlideBook addresses the entire process of biomedical imaging from device control to image processing and automated data analysis. Offering a wide range of analysis modules, SlideBook caters to a variety of applications.
