No small print! Olympus launch new initiative at Focus 2007, Manchester

Olympus will be launching a “No small print” initiative at this year’s Focus 2007 exhibition in Manchester. The campaign intends to show how Olympus delivers highly competitive managed service contracts with no hidden extras.

According to Alan Trinder, Head of Diagnostics, Olympus is well placed to deliver such services: “As one of the leading installers of chemistry systems worldwide for the last 10 years, we are first able to guarantee a solid reliable technical platform. Depending on the scope of the contract we then selectively partner with other leading manufacturers. In haematology, for example, we work with Horiba ABX. This enables us to address the increasing concerns of customers that they may be forced to make technical compromises because of the limited choice of equipment offered in other managed service contracts. However, when successful managed service contracts can deliver real benefits in terms of cost and operational efficiencies, we aim to be in the forefront of such provision.”

To back up these claims, visitors will be able to hear about how Olympus is already delivering one of the largest managed service contracts in the NHS at the John Radcliffe Trust. Providing blood transfusion tracking systems based on its osYris range of products, the contract also includes the specialist training of over 3000 nurses and doctors.
