The new Plasmid DNA Purification Kits allow researchers to easily isolate plasmid DNA from bacteria using MiniPrep, MidiPrep and MaxiPrep methods. These Plasmid DNA Purification Kits use proprietary DNA binding systems that allow the high efficient binding of DNA to the ezBindTM matrix while proteins and other impurities are removed by wash buffer.

Nucleic acids are easily eluted with sterile water or Elution Buffer. Unlike other Plasmid Purification Kits on the market, our patented Plasmid DNA Purification Kits have no chaotropic salts in the buffer. The purified DNA is guanidine/anion exchange resin residues free.

Novus Biologicals new Plasmid DNA Purification Kits are available in a variety of sizes to accommodate various purification scales.

The Plasmid Kit MiniPrep I is designed for fast and efficient purification of plasmid DNA from 1-4 mL of E. coli culture. The mini column has a plasmid DNA binding capacity of 50ug, and the yield from 1mL culture is typically around 8ug to 12ug. The Plasmid Miniprep Kit II is recommended if a higher yield of greater than 50ug is desired.

The Plasmid Kit MidiPrep I is designed for 100-200ug of high copy number plasmid DNA can be isolated from 50mL culture. The Plasmid Kit MidiPrep II is designed for 200-400ug of high copy number plasmid DNA can be isolated from 100mL culture.

The Plasmid Kit MaxiPrep is designed for fast and efficient purification of plasmid DNA from 100-250mL of E. coli culture. The maxi column has a plasmid DNA binding capacity of 1mg.

Once researchers have purified plasmid DNA using the Plasmid DNA Purification Kits, it is ready for downstream applications such as transfection of robust cells, such as HEK293, restriction mapping, library screening, sequencing, DNA amplification, as well as gene therapy and genetic vaccinations.
