omniPAC Means More Power to the Researcher
21 Nov 2007Electrophresis specialists CLEAVER SCIENTIFIC have added new models to their successful omniPAC range of power supplies which include substantially upgraded specifications and re-styled models. These compact new power supply units provide improved power capacities on all models, for example the most popular model MP-300 now provides an impressive 700mA output with a voltage of 300V and 150W power.
The range now includes new micro-processor controlled models along with increased current and power capability on pre-existing models. Retaining their compact, ease-of-use and excellent price features, these power supplies now offer researchers improved versatility and capacity.
The most popular models in the range (the MP250 and MP300) offer increased power of up to 150 watts and increased current up to 700 mAmps. This facilitates the connection of increased numbers of electrophoresis systems to each power supply and the ability to use these for high intensity blotting, a feature not available on other general power supply units.
These power supplies now include four sets of connectors to enable the potential to run four electrophoresis systems in parallel. They are suitable for use in cold rooms and can be set to run in constant voltage or current along with an optional time set to indicate the end of the run.
For laboratories where space and budgets are particularly limited, two ultra-compact models are available, the Mini150 and Mini300, which are ideal for use with horizontal gel systems, such as those in the Cleaver Scientific Multisub range. For connecting multiple electrophoresis units to enable high intensity blotting, the MP-3AP model which provides a powerful 3 Amp current capability, is the ideal choice. Finally, to complete the range are the MP500V and MP2000V which can be used for general and high voltage electrophoresis respectively.
