Pall Life Sciences Exhibits New Solutions for HPLC Sample Prep at Pittcon 2013
4 Mar 2013Analytical sample prep is growing, facilitating a movement to analyses of smaller samples with more sensitive assays and a need to process more samples faster. To that end, Pall Life Sciences has introduced multiple new products that are used in HPLC sample prep.
End users expect analytical sample prep to have low extractable contributions, low analyte adsorption, and the ability to filter very small samples. Pall Life Sciences will be featuring their recently launched 13 mm Acrodisc® MS syringe filter certified for low extractables in high performance liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LCMS) applications. Designed specifically for small sample analysis using LCMS, the 13 mm Acrodisc MS syringe filter improves the accuracy of testing, enhances LCMS performance, and extends the longevity of testing instrumentation. We will be featuring a poster (2190-3P) on Wednesday afternoon of the show highlighting the benefits of this exciting new product line. More information about this new product can be obtained at the Pall Life Sciences booth 1349.
Sample prep automation is also moving forward with high throughput processing using both 96-well and 384-well plate filtration products. In addition, there are also systems available for simultaneously filtering a complete set of samples directly into a carousel for an HPLC system. These types of systems allow automation of the filtration process so it can be completed in-batch or in-process via automation. In addition to our 13 mm Acrodisc MS syringe filter, Pall offers AcroPrep™ Advance filter plates, and Microsep™ Advance and Macrosep® Advance centrifugal devices to round out our offering.
