PCR Plates

Sarstedt provides a full range of Multiply® 96 and 384 well plates for PCR applications. The plates are engineered to accommodate most thermal cyclers, real-time PCR systems and DNA sequencers on the market. Multiply® PCR plates feature black alphanumeric grids for easy sample identification and slightly raised wells to offer effective plate sealing and reduce the risk of cross contamination. 96 well versions include full, half and non-skirted options. The 384 well plates have a full skirt for robotic applications and bar code labeling.

Sarstedt’s half-skirt PCR plate is available with barcode label. Numbered consecutively using 8 characters, the label features common barcode type Code 128 as well as numerical figures. The barcode labels are DMSO resistant and can be used in extreme PCR temperature ranges and in freezing temperatures down to –80°C.

The 96-well Multiply® Fast PCR plate is designed for use on fast PCR thermal cyclers. The plate features a half skirt and a low profile design to reduce cycling time. Optically clear, thin-walled wells ensure optimum signal recovery. Corresponding flat lid chains and adhesive sealing tapes are also available.

The new DuoPlate, available in both 96- and 384-well configurations with a variety of skirt options, is composed of 2 materials. Hard polycarbonate frames minimize warping and shrinkage while ultra thin-walled polypropylene tube wells enable rapid heat transfer for efficient cycling. Sealing tapes can be securely affixed, further reducing potential sample loss. DuoPlate Fluo versions, particularly designed for real-time PCR applications, feature black frames with white wells to maximize signal intensity and minimize cross-talk. Other color options may be available upon special request.

All Multiply® PCR plates are PCR Performance certified to be free of DNase, RNase, human DNA, and PCR inhibitors. For free samples or more information on Sarstedt PCR plates, please contact Sarstedt.
