Phenomenex to Hold Chiral Chromatography Seminar in Lyon, France
8 Apr 2013Phenomenex Inc., a global leader in the research and manufacture of advanced technologies for the separation sciences, announces a chiral chromatography seminar, featuring well-known experts in the field, on April 25 in Lyon, France. This first-of-its kind seminar is designed for researchers involved in chiral chromatography, from industry and academia, whether they are novices or experts. Topics include principles of chirality and stereochemistry, an overview of various approaches to the separation of enantiomers by HPLC and SFC, a review of polysaccharide-based chiral stationary phases, screening and method development tips, chiral recognition mechanisms, and the latest detection methods. The seminar will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel at 129 Rue Servient, ten minutes from the Lyon Part-Dieu train station, and is free of charge. A complete agenda and registration are available online at https://www.phenomenex.com/Info/Page/frchiralsem, or by email: franceinfo@phenomenex.com
Speakers will include Professor Bezhan Chankvetadze Professor of Physical and Analytical Chemistry at Tbilisi State University in Tbilisi, Georgia; Professors Christian Roussel and Nicholas Vanthuyne of the University of Marseille; Dr. Caroline West of the University d'Orleans; Professor Alain Berthod of the University of Lyon and Dr. Marc Jacob of Phenomenex.
"The demand for chiral separations continues to grow in pharmaceutical research and development, as well as in toxicology studies," explains Marc Jacob, Ph.D., product manager for Phenomenex. "Phenomenex is a complete resource for chiral chromatography, offering an online chiral column selection guide and free chiral screening services and our Lux columns are among the most successful on the market in separating enantiomers. This seminar, the first of its kind, is a further extension of our expertise."
