Powerful, yet easy-to-use tool for characterisation of natural and synthetic polymers
6 May 2011The RImax™ Gel Permeation / Size Exclusion Chromatography (GPC/SEC) system from Viscotek is a powerful, yet easy-to-use tool for the conventional characterisation of natural and synthetic polymers, copolymers, proteins, nanoparticles and other macromolecules.
Combining the market leading GPCmax™ fully integrated pump, autosampler and degasser module, Model 3580 Refractive Index (RI) detector and OmniSEC GPC/SEC software the RImax delivers all the attributes of a high performance Conventional GPC system.
The Viscotek Model 3580 Differential RI Detector sets the standard in GPC for the determination of sample concentration. It combines superior sensitivity and versatility with reliability, ease-of-use and excellent linearity over a wide range of concentrations.
The GPCmax features a variable injection volume autosampler capable of handling all types of 2ml vials and an isocratic pump for constant and pulseless solvent flow. The pump and autosampler can be programmed manually using the instrument front panel or can be fully controlled by Viscotek OmniSEC(TM) software. OmniSEC is a fully 21CFR part 11 compliant GPC/SEC software package and provides an integrated software solution that helps maximise the information extraction and efficiency of polymer characterisation experiments. Equipped with an in-line solvent degasser to remove dissolved gases the GPCmax ensures optimum performance of concentration, viscosity and light scattering detectors. Benefiting from Viscotek's experience of providing leading edge solutions for polymer characterisation, the GPCmax delivers the superior performance you would expect from an optimised system. The GPCmax has also been engineered to ensure high reliability at an affordable price.
Malvern Instruments acquired Viscotek in January 2008.
