“Pressure” and “suction” viscosity determination in one system
29 Jun 2006The new ViscoSystem® AVS 470 automatic viscosity measurement system by SCHOTT Instruments GmbH in Mainz not only generates precise and reproducible measurment results, but also offers a high degree of flexibility.
The ViscoSystem® AVS 470 uses the glass capillary method to measure viscosity . This is the most precise method for the physical determination of viscosity for Newtonian liquids.
The ViscoSystemâ AVS 470 can be used in both “pressure” and “vacuum” modes. This means that the analysis method can be easily adapted to match the particular requirements of the fluid. The set-up time for changing samples and analysis method can be reduced to a minimum.
The wide range of applications includes high and low viscous as well as transparent and opaque (by using TC viscometers) fluids.
The modular design of the measuring system is compatible with a wide range of Schott Instrument Viscosity accessories.
The integrated intelligence in the ViscoSystemâ AVS 470 includes an extensive range of standard evaluation methods for glass capillary viscometry. The system is designed as a “stand-alone” instrument and does not require an external computer.
