Priorclave & Biocote at Medica

This year at Medica Priorclave can be found on the Biocote stand in Hall 16 – Stand No: G20-2. As one of Biocote’s longest standing partners Priorclave have been utilising their silver based anti-microbial technology on the external surfaces of Priorclave autoclaves for several years.

All models from the smallest 40L Benchtop to the large 700L Rectangular Section autoclave incorporate Biocote at no extra charge.

BioCote provides a second line of defence to minimise the risk of cross contamination. Extensive validation has been carried out using independent laboratories, with data showing that BioCote products inhibit bacteria related to Healthcare Associated Infections including E-Coli, MRSA and Salmonella. BioCote works in partnership with Priorclave to provide hygienic solutions and help deliver products to market.

Recent comparative tests carried out on treated and untreated Priorclave autoclaves revealed that a BioCote treated autoclave will harbour overall 78% less bacteria than an untreated autoclave in use under the same conditions.

Silver is the active agent used in BioCote technology due to its broad spectrum of anti-microbial properties and its proven ability to inhibit the growth of bacteria.
