Process Industry to Meet at AchemAsia 2013 in China

20 Aug 2012

Exhibitors, engineers, design engineers and scientists are invited to attend AchemAsia from 13th to 16th May 2013 in Beijing. Since its launch over 20 years ago this event has made a reputation for itself as the foremost international forum for the process industry in Asia. With over 400 exhibitors from 25 different countries, more than 12,000 visitors and around 100 lectures AchemAsia spans the entire range of process engineering and biotechnology.

The focus of AchemAsia is on topics specifically relevant to Asia. Thus it offers exhibitors a unique opportunity to not only present their products and services to the trade in China, but to also get informed on the state-of-the-art research and technology there.

China is fast turning out to be an innovation driver, boosted by substantial government-funded programs and ever more industrial research initiatives. There is lots of interest in sustainable production processes and environmental technologies. Due to the raw materials situation researchers are constantly pushing the frontiers in coal chemistry and petrochemistry.

13 exhibition groups accommodate the vast range of the process industry. They include process technology, pharmaceutical production, agricultural chemistry and food processing, laboratory techniques and raw materials supply. The Congress program has adopted a new concept, addressing key themes in satellite symposia, each organized together with local partners. The topics include joining technology, raw materials, production-integrated environmental protection, process analytics and product safety.

For the second time since 2010 AchemAsia will take place in the China National Convention Center in the Olympic village. Modern exhibition and congress facilities coupled with excellent infrastructure make it a perfect venue for exhibitors and visitors alike. The event is being organized by DECHEMA together with the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC), with numerous national and international cooperation partners involved in the preparations.
