Promega Introduces GoTaq 1-Step RT-qPCR System for Quantitative Analysis of RNA
17 Oct 2011Promega Corporation announced today that it has launched GoTaq® 1-Step RT-qPCR System for quantitative analysis of RNA. The reagent system gives a brighter signal for earlier quantification of low and high copy RNA targets, using a one-step reverse transcription-quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) protocol in a single tube format.
The system incorporates BRYT Green® Fluorescent Dye, a novel dye that exhibits enhanced fluorescence when bound to dsDNA, and optimized buffer formulations to improve data accuracy and sensitivity of low expressing targets or targets present at low amounts. GoTaq 1-Step RT-qPCR System is compatible with all real-time PCR instruments in both fast and standard cycling conditions.
The optimized formulations of the GoTaq 1-Step RT-qPCR System components have been engineered to enable simple reaction setup and provide consistently efficient, sensitive, broad range and robust performance in all standard or fast instrument platforms.
The components and protocol allow cDNA synthesis using the GoScript™ Reverse Transcription System and quantification using the GoTaq® qPCR Master Mix. GoTaq 1-Step RT-qPCR System can be used with any real-time instrument capable of detecting SYBR® Green I or FAM™ dye and contains a low level of CXR Reference Dye. A separate tube of CXR Reference Dye is included for use with instruments that require a higher level of reference dye.
