QuantiScientifics, LLC Introduces the A2 Multiplex Assay System at LabAutomation 2010

QuantiScientifics, LLC acquired the A2 Business from Beckman Coulter, Inc. and relaunched the product this year at LabAutomation. The A2 MicroArray System with Universal Linker Technology is a microplate-based platform for the development of multiplex assays.

The system includes the A2 Plate, a 96-well microplate with a standardized array of capture oligonucleotides in each well. Complementary oligonucleotides (Universal Linkers) are conjugated with the desired antibodies (or biomarkers) and applied to the plate to create a protein array in each of the 96 wells. The conjugation kit enables the user to prepare a multiplex immunoassay using from 2 to 13 different antibodies or biomarkers.

The assays are evaluated using the A2 Reader and integrated software permitting simultaneous image analysis and reporting for up to 13 assays. Dr. Robert Matson, President at QuantiScientifics, believes that this platform is well suited for both manual and automation driven high-throughput multiplex assays.
