R&D Systems Announce Neuroscience 2009 Symposia about Neural Stem Cells and their use in Toxicity Studies
12 Oct 2009Please join R&D Systems on Sunday, October 18 from 6:30-8pm at the Chicago Hilton, Private Dining Room #2, for a symposia entitled “Neural Stem Cells: Basic Biology and their use in Toxicity Studies”. They will also have their IHC expert on hand at the booth to answer your questions and help you troubleshoot staining experiments. Visit booth 767 for more information.
The objectives of this introductory workshop are for participants to acquire basic knowledge and skills in maintaining and characterizing NSCs as well as utilization of NSCs in screening for the effects of toxins/drugs and other bioactive agents. This workshop will describe methods for: 1. Derivation of NSCs. 2. The expansion of NSCs by both monolayer and neurosphere methods. 3. Characterization of NSCs by both flow cytometry and immunocytochemistry. 4. The use of NSCs in bioactive agent screening.
The Ask the Expert will be held at the booth on Monday, October 19 from 1-4pm.
