An informative new 96-page technical catalogue is now available from Moritex describing their comprehensive range of light sources, LED illumination and fibre light guides for vision and inspection applications.

The 2006 General Catalogue was designed by Moritex to provide scientists, engineers and technicians with a reference guide to aid them in achieving optimised light delivery to and illumination of their application.

Benefiting from more than 25 years experience and expertise in the creation, manipulation and control of light and with customer support laboratories around the world - Moritex is well placed to advise and help customers. The well-illustrated catalogue provides a description, key specifications and technical performance data on each of the company's comprehensive range of high performance MG-Wave LED lighting, Halogen and Metal Halide light sources as well as its range of fibre light guides.

MG-Wave LED lighting includes a range of unique technical features. Unlike other forms of lighting there is no deterioration caused by repeatedly switching the light on and off. Operating across a narrow bandwidth MG-Wave makes it easy to acquire the contrast critical for image processing. Incorporating small light source elements enables MG-Wave to deliver lighting dimensions optimised to application. Incorporated in the LED light, the MG-Wave constant current detection system reads the signal to control the rated current that is adjusted to the number of LED's in every lighting module. Consequently MG-Wave has the flexibility to offer its industry leading performance for any type of lighting configuration. The MG-Wave range detailed in the new catalogue includes high powered spot, direct ring, low angle ring, shadowless, edge backlit, array backlit, coaxial, bar, linear, oblique, dome and parallel lighting LED's as well as power sources and a wide variety of LED lighting accessories.

Compact in design, Moritex Halogen and Metal Halide light sources may be manually controlled or remotely operated by analogue or digital signals. Moritex light sources offer a range of optional features to maximise operational safety, performance and reliability. Through monitoring rush currents, lamp abnormalities and high lamp temperature ensures operators using Moritex light sources get reliable, stable light every time. Designed for safety and reliability the light sources are highly resistant to heat shock. All Moritex light sources are CE marked according to the Low Voltage and EMC Directives and offer the operational flexibility of universal input voltage (100-240V, 50/60 Hz).

Moritex develops and manufactures multi-component glass and quartz light guides from its own drawn raw fibres. The new catalogue details a wide choice of light guide configurations including ring, straight, plate, slit, line, dome bifurcated and multifurcated. When combined with light source devices, Moritex light guides enable high intensity illumination free of noise and heat.
