The new KT 115 refrigerated incubator from BINDER is equipped with an energy-efficient Peltier element. This state-of-the-art refrigeration technology cools without a compressor or refrigerant and is therefore quiet as a whisper with an extremely low vibration level. With its comprehensive program functions, the new all-rounder for incubating biological material offers a wide range of capabilities and guarantees reproducible results.

With a usable chamber volume of 104 liters, the unit can be used for temperatures from 4°C and can be conveniently decontaminated at its maximum temperature of 100°C. In contrast to a compressor, Peltier technology used exclusively for cooling, is silent, vibration free and reduces energy consumption significantly. The KT 115 applies conventional heating technology.

As with most BINDER chambers, the proven APT.lineTM preheating technology ensures homogenous temperature conditions, as well as rapid heating and recovery times. The horizontal air flow from both sides of the chamber in the new KT 115 ensures extremely uniform temperature distribution, even when fully loaded. Effective and gentle incubation is ensured in conjunction with its digital temperature setting that is accurate to a tenth of a degree.

From the standpoint of ease of use, the KT 115 has been equipped with the new "made by BINDER" controller. A state-of-the-art rotary pushbutton and color LCD display are used to set the most demanding programs in several languages with ease. The controller manages up to 10 different users each with 10 programs whose measurements are saved on a 2 GB SD card. The USB interface can be used to transfer data to a PC where the BINDER APT-COM™ software can be used to analyze it. To ensure smooth operation, the controller has a key lock and is password protected.
