Sartorius Named Fisher Scientific European Supplier of the Year

Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, recently announced the winners of the Fisher Scientific Supplier Awards during its fifth Fisher Scientific European Sales Conference in Malta.

From January 26-28, 2016, more than 700 delegates attended the Fisher Scientific European Sales Conference at the InterContinental, Malta. This was the fifth event of its kind, bringing together delegates from 18 different countries.

The three-day event included an exhibition showcase with 68 booths featuring laboratory products from Thermo Fisher Scientific and other leading suppliers. The event culminated in a gala dinner and awards ceremony, during which Thermo Fisher recognized and rewarded the efforts of exemplary colleagues and supplier partners.

The winning suppliers are confirmed as follows:

European Supplier of the Year: Sartorius

Supplier Best Booth: GE Healthcare Life Sciences

Rising Supplier Star: Bürkle

Private Label Supplier of the Year: Control Company

European Marketing Support Award: Bibby Scientific

European Logistics Award: Kimberly-Clark Professional

New Product Introduction Award: Thermo Fisher Scientific Laboratory Equipment Division

European Excellence Award: Thermo Fisher Scientific Life Sciences Solutions Group

European Sales Support Award: GE Healthcare Life Sciences

This year’s event drew an enthusiastic response from delegates. As John Tourlas, VP, portfolio management, Fisher Scientific, commented, “We learned a lot this week and focused on some key priorities. It’s critical that our employees are focused on those priorities and have great plans to execute. We want to make 2016 our best year ever.”

Felicity Bechinger, director channel management Europe at Sartorius, described how winning the Fisher Scientific European Supplier of the Year will affect them, saying “the numbers are really going to rocket sky high in 2016 as a result of the work that we’ve started, together with some very key people in Thermo Fisher Scientific.”
