Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics recently held a BN™II and BN ProSpec® Customer Connection Event in Birmingham, providing delegates with updates on the latest developments and tools available. The two-day event attracted customers using the plasma protein systems from all across the UK and provided an opportunity to interact with colleagues and Siemens experts to share experience and best practice.

The agenda, structured to maximise interaction and relationship building, included a range of topics and customer presentations. Plasma protein online campus and personalised education plans were discussed as Siemens demonstrated the investment it is putting into customer education resources in this area. The future of the IMMULITE Allergy & BN development pipeline was also covered including nephelometry system development.

Customers were given the opportunity to provide input into a troubleshooting educational session which aimed to maximise the use of plasma protein systems. The session also provided an in-depth review of studies and publications, addressing questions and objectives around Siemens Free Light Chains. The day ended with an ask the expert panel, where customers were invited to ask the Siemens panel any questions or queries they had about products and service.

The event received excellent feedback from delegates with over 90% rating the meeting above average. Robin Hoole, Senior Biomedical Scientist, Immunology Department at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospital states, "The best aspects of the meeting were networking and access to experienced Siemens staff; and the opportunity to build better working relationships."

“Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics holds regular customer connection days so as to keep customers up to date with product developments and to provide attendees the opportunity to share best practice with other delegates,” states Ibti Rashid, Marketing Manager, Biochemistry at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. “We have gathered valuable feedback from the BN customer day and will take it into account for future product development and service.”
