Streck to Feature New Antibiotic Resistance Detection Kits and New Blood Collection Tube at AACC
23 Jul 2019Streck will showcase three new antibiotic resistance detection kits and the new RNA Complete BCTTM at the 71st AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo held Aug. 6-8 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Streck will be at Booth 2035.
Streck will hold a press conference starting at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 7, in Room 213D to introduce the kits and blood collection tube. Technical Product Manager Steve Kelly will present the new kits and Product Manager Joel Lechner will present the new blood collection tube.
The new Streck ARM-D® Kits detect the most clinically important current and emerging antimicrobial resistance threats. The kits - now for MCR, expanded OXA, and TEM/SHV/GES - rapidly screen more than 1,000 resistance gene variants. Streck ARM-D Kits include all 5 CRE gene families: KPC, OXA, NDM, IMP, and VIM. Colistin resistance target genes include MCR-1, MCR-2, MCR-3, MCR-4, and MCR-5. The Streck ARM-D Kits are comprehensive, including targets for ampCs, as well as ESBLs. Streck ARM-D Kits are for Research Use Only. Not for Use in Diagnostic Procedures.
RNA Complete BCTTM is a direct draw whole blood collection tube that stabilizes the draw time concentration of exosomes and cell-free RNA. RNA Complete BCT prevents the release of exosomes from red and white blood cells and maintains cell-free RNA concentration for up to 7 days at room temperature, allowing convenient sample collection, transport and storage. RNA Complete BCT is for Research Use Only. Not for Use in Diagnostic Procedures.
