In this application note the SuperSpinner D 1000, a single-use and pre-assembled modified spinner flask, is evaluated for the cultivation of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells. Starting cell density was established and cells were subsequently cultivated in a batch culture at 37°C. Samples were taken and cell density and viability were determined. Results are compared to the same experimental set-up using a standard spinner flask.
