Swift Biosciences will be introducing molecular identifiers (MIDs) to pair with their Accel-NGS® 2S DNA Library Kits at the annual ASHG conference in Vancouver, BC Canada October 18-22.

MIDs, sometimes referred to as unique molecular identifiers (UMI), are utilized in next generation sequencing to identify unique library molecules in the data. When paired with specific applications, such as hybridization capture panels or ChIP-Seq preparation, sensitivity is greatly increased.

Multiple posters will be presented from Swift Biosciences on this method, as well as from their collaborators, who had early access to the technology. An exhibitor workshop is scheduled for October 20th, 2016 from 1:00-2:30pm at the Vancouver Convention Center featuring presentations from Active Motif on improvements in ChIP-Seq, and Joseph Ecker from the Salk Institute on approaching single-cell methylation analysis.

Swift Biosciences will have application scientists on-hand in booth 1211 to answer questions on these applications, as well as other next generation sequencing processes.
