Genome ID Group, LLC, d/b/a, The Center for Advanced Forensic DNA Analysis™ (CAFDA) will launch its advanced forensic DNA analysis services utilizing SNP array technology and its Quantum SNP Forensic Informatics, (patent pending) developed by Dr. Kevin McElfresh, Chief Science Officer of CAFDA, at the upcoming International Symposium of Human Identification, (ISHI) in Atlanta, October 7-10, 2013. Dr. McElfresh will also Chair a workshop “Advanced Topics in Forensic Mixture Analysis: Statistics to Technology”.

“Our solutions are developed, validated and prepared for immediate use in forensic human identification. Our highly trained analysts with demonstrated experience in DNA forensic laboratory skills and data interpretation are a skilled multidisciplinary scientific team. They have experience in mass disaster recovery, DoD mission deployments and identification of fallen military personnel. CAFDA offers a choice in technology applications, utilizing STR and SNP technologies and QuantumSNP, Forensic Informatics, to provide unique capabilities in the analysis of casework and the most complex of crime scene samples” said, Michael Heffernan, Chief Executive Officer, Genome ID Group, LLC.

QuantumSNP Forensic Informatics was developed to provide point-to-point comparison of SNP array data, providing an automated, robust process for comparing DNA samples including complex mixtures.

“With current forensic technologies approaching twenty years in the field it is imperative that we utilize next generation genome technologies, already proven in science and medicine, in forensic DNA analysis, and harness the power of genome array applications in the analysis of crime scene samples and thereby advance our industry in a practical way through casework resolution” said Dr. McElfresh.

Genome ID Group, LLC, d/b/a, The Center for Advanced Forensic DNA Analysis™ (CAFDA) is an advanced forensic DNA analysis company, providing services to law enforcement, the legal system, federal and local government, and the intelligence community, supporting those in the fight against crime and terror.
