Thermo Fisher Scientific Adds New Spin Plates for Purification of Fusion Proteins

22 Aug 2011

Thermo Fisher Scientific, have today introduced new products for the purification of GST- and His-tagged fusion proteins. These products include Thermo Scientific Pierce Glutathione Spin Plates and the Thermo Scientific HisPur Ni-NTA Spin Plates enabling fast, consistent well - well and plate - plate reproducability for small scale high-throughput separations from bacterial, mammalian and baculovirus-infected cells.

Both the Pierce® Glutathione and HisPur® Ni-NTA Spin Plates are compatible with centrifugation and vacuum manifold systems for manual or automated purification and bind at least 40 milligrams of recombinant GST protein per milliliter of resin. The HisPur Ni-NTA Spin Plates bind up to 60 milligrams of 6xHis-tagged protein per milliliter of resin.

The Pierce Glutathione and HisPur Ni-NTA Spin Plates are validated for use with Thermo Scientific Cell Lysis Reagents. Each system purifies proteins using native or denaturing conditions.
