Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, is pleased to announce the Thermo Scientific ABgene™ Fast Block PCR plate (ref AB-1900) as our “Plate of the Month” for January 2009. The Plate of the Month initiative celebrates entry into the 2nd century of man-made plastics by providing scientists with valuable ways to trial ABgene plates.

The thin-walled design of the ABgene™ Fast Block PCR plate ensures optimal and consistent heat transfer for efficient fast thermal cycling protocols and consistent, high-quality results. This semi-skirted, low-profile plate is compatible with major Fast Block PCR and QPCR thermal cyclers and, like all ABgene PCR plates, is supplied with alphanumeric grid referencing and raised rim well design for improved plate sealing. In addition, the ABgene Fast Block PCR plate is available with optional bar coding and comes in opaque white, for QPCR applications.

The market-leading ABgene range combines precision design, high-quality materials and clean room production to ensure reliable and reproducible premium products that give you confidence in your results. Like all ABgene PCR plastic consumables, the ABgene Fast Block PCR plate is manufactured from non-porous virgin (medical grade) polypropylene and is extensively quality tested to ensure a plate of the highest quality, certified free from DNase, RNase and endotoxin contamination.

We have 10 cases (25 plates in each) of these Fast Block PCR plates to give away in January 2009. This promotion is offered on a first come, first served basis and is subject to availability. To apply, please click on the company article webpage link at the right of the page.
