Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, is pleased to announce the Thermo Scientific ABgene™ Semi-Skirted 96-well PCR Plate (ref AB-0900) as its “Plate of the Month” for March 2009. The Plate of the Month initiative celebrates entry into the second century of man-made plastics by providing scientists with valuable ways to trial ABgene plates.

The ABgene Semi-Skirted 96-well PCR plate was designed with lab throughput flexibility in mind. The plate deck is more rigid than non-skirted PCR plates and is segmented for easy separation into 24 and 48 well sections. Each well has a thin walled design for optimal and consistent heat transfer and a raised rim for superior sealing with adhesive seals or cap strips while alphanumeric grid referencing makes well identification easy for any throughput. The ABgene Semi-Skirted 96-well PCR plate is also available in opaque white for QPCR applications.

The market leading ABgene range combines precision design, high quality materials and clean room production to ensure reliable and reproducible, premium products that give you confidence in your results. Like all ABgene PCR plastic consumables, the ABgene Semi-Skirted PCR Plate is manufactured from non-porous virgin (medical grade) polypropylene and is extensively quality tested to ensure a plate of the highest quality, certified free from DNase, RNase and endotoxin contamination.

Thermo Fisher Scientific has 10 cases (25 plates in each) of these Semi-Skirted PCR plates to give away in March 2009. This offer is on a first come, first served basis and is subject to availability. To apply please visit the company webpage.
