Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, today announced the availability of the Thermo Scientific Pierce Detergent Removal 96-well Spin Plates. The presence of detergents in protein and peptide samples interferes with many downstream analyses such as mass spectrometry (MS). The new spin plates contain the popular Thermo Scientific Pierce Detergent Removal Resin and offer a high-throughput option for efficiently eliminating high concentrations of detergents from protein and peptide samples.

Each well in the Pierce® Detergent Removal 96-well Plate accommodates sample volumes ranging from 25 to 100 microliters. Samples are rapidly processed in 15 minutes with greater than 90 percent protein recovery. The Pierce Detergent Removal Resin has been tested with numerous detergents including Tween®-20, sodium deoxycholate and Triton®X-100.
