WTW’s new highly variable ionic sensor VARiON allows:

  • The continuous measurement of ammonium – with on-line compensation for the interference ion potassium – via the ion-selective potassium electrode or
  • On-line compensation of nitrate measurement – chloride as interference ion
  • The third available slot can be used for an additional measuring electrode – this allows to measure ammonium and nitrate with one sensor (2 in 1)

All in all the following ready to start sets are available:

Ammonium measurement, compensated

Nitrate measurement, compensated

Ammonium measurement, compensated, with additional nitrate measurement

Nitrate measurement, compensated, with additional ammonium measurement

The advantages of the new VARiON system are obvious:

This combination sensor can measure both Ammonium AND Nitrate at the same time directly in the process. Due to its low investment and operating costs, it is a highly cost-effective solution for a reliable measurement 24 hours a day.
