Visit Wheaton Science Products at booth 1961 to see the new CryoELITE™ cryogenic storage vials which are available in both externally threaded and internally threaded formats. Vial sizes include 1.2, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 mL volumes in either free standing or round bottom configuration. The freestanding vial also has a high recovery v-shaped internal bottom design.

Seven different cap colors, Blue, Pink, Green, Yellow, Red, White and Natural are standard on the 2.0 mL sizes. All vials are batch certified DNase and RNase free, non-pyrogenic and endotoxin free and are available sterile or non-sterile. Caps and vials are made from cryogenic, radiation grade, virgin polypropylene.

Key features which separate CryoELITE from the competition include ease of sample tracking and superior cap seal. The free standing CryoELITE vial has a purpose-designed bottom which can accommodate the Wheaton 2D Matrix Bar Coded Insert for traceability. The insert is easily press fit into the vial and held permanently in place by the snap lock design. The bar code insert can be applied by the customer as required or supplied pre-fit to order.

The second key feature is the extreme cap seal: for both externally and internally threaded vials, the engineering design results in pressure resistance performance well in excess of government standards (both DOT and IATA) and significantly better than reported values for other cryogenic vials. In addition, the externally threaded free standing CryoELITE vial has a sturdy octagonal Loctagon™ bottom profile which provides stability on the bench and can be locked in to the CryoELITE Benchmate Rack to provide easy open and close with one hand.
