Widest range of OX clones available

29 May 2007

AbD Serotec launched their first OX mAb in 1985 and since then has gone from strength to strength with over 50 OX clones now appearing in the new catalog.

Most of the reagents (originating from the MRC Cellular Immunology Unit in Oxford, UK) recognize rat lymphocyte surface proteins, making OX the standard tools in rat immunology worldwide. With additional specificities from Christine Dijkstra in Amsterdam, AbD Serotec now offers the widest range of mAbs for rat leukocyte markers available, plus mAbs for related molecules such as IL-4 and IL-2R. Several other OX mAbs recognizing a variety of human and mouse proteins are also available.

The various membrane proteins recognized by these clones are illustrated schematically in the figure below. These OX clones have been invaluable for many important research breakthroughs.
