WITec Contributes to the James L Waters Annual Symposium on “Chemical Imaging Spectroscopy” at Pittcon 2013

27 Mar 2013

Joachim Koenen, WITec co-founder and Managing Director, had the honor of contributing to the highly-regarded James L Waters Annual Symposium on “Chemical Imaging Spectroscopy”.

Dr. Koenen’s talk about “Confocal Raman Microscopy: From Single Spectra Acquisition to Routine 3D Raman Imaging.” detailed the past and future of analytical microscopy systems. With various examples Joachim Koenen provided insight into advanced chemical and high-resolution imaging techniques and shows the latest developments.

The symposium took place during the Pittcon Conference on Monday, March 18th, 2013. According to the conference’s homepage the speakers chosen for the symposium are considered “pioneers in the field and are uniquely qualified to discuss the development of chemical imaging and its commercialization”. The session also focused on the current state of the technique and what the future holds for chemical imaging.
