GOW-MAC® Instrument Co.

GOW-MAC® Instrument Co. (U.S.A.) was formed in 1935 by Mr. William Gow and Mr. James McFadden to exploit an automotive engine analyzer developed by Mr. Gow. This analyzer utilized a thermal conductivity detector (TCD) and essentially measured the carbon dioxide content of the exhaust gas. This development lead to the manufacturing of various binary gas analyzers; e.g., air in hydrogen, natural vs. manufactured gas, etc.

With its eye on the future, GOW-MAC® continues to develop innovative detectors and gas analysis instruments for our customers and their always demanding, ever changing applications.
