Uniscan Instruments

Uniscan Instruments design, develop, manufacture and supply electrochemical and corrosion measurement instruments, innovative scanning probe and surface measurement systems.

Formed in 1989, Uniscan Instruments has rapidly grown into a world leader for designing and developing precision measurement instruments based around electrochemical and optical technology.

Our range of Scanning Probe Electrochemical products includes Scanning Vibrating Electrode (SVET), Scanning Kelvin Probe (SKP370), Localized Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (LEIS370), Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (SECM370), Scanning Droplet System (SDS370) and Optical Surface Profiling (OSP370). With the introduction of the M370 platform users will, for the first time, be able to have access to all the major scanning probe electrochemical techniques with one modular system. The M370 can be configured to the user’s choice with any or all of the stated techniques.

Experience of design and supply to the leading names in electrochemical analysis instrumentation, combined with our own hardware, micro-controller, and software design expertise means that Uniscan is ideally suited as your partner for instrumentation design and production project management.

The precision mechanical positioning and data acquisition systems developed for our scanning probe electrochemistry instruments are also utilised in our OSP series of Non-contact Surface Profiling and Measurement instruments.

Our potentiostats and galvanostats address a range of applications in lectrochemical sensor technology and corrosion science. The PG580 is a hand-held, portable device which is used for routine testing, research and for teaching. It is equally at home in the laboratory or in the field.

The BiStat 3200 is a small footprint two-channel potentiostat – galvanostat which is ideally suited for RDE and RCE applications in corrosion research and testing and electrochemical research. The instrument can be configured for use as two independent three electrode systems or used with two working electrodes and a common counter and common reference electrode.

The PG580RM is a true multi-channel potentiostat which can be configured from 2 to 14 channels and is used in applications where high throughput is a prime requirement of a system.

Our instrumentation has been used in the development of electrochemical sensors for defence, agricultural, domestic and medical applications. Many of the systems have been tailor made for the customer’s particular project and our research and development team are able to develop hardware, software and accessories for bespoke applications.
We have supplied instrumentation to the world's premier research laboratories such as NASA, Seiko, British Aerospace, Ford and Bosch, as well as many smaller manufacturing organisations. Uniscan is dedicated to an ongoing process of product research and development and sponsoring research programmes in several Universities.

Uniscan has local distribution and marketing partners throughout the world.
