Drug Discovery & Development Scientists’ Choice Awards winners announced at SLAS2023
Agilent Technologies, Sartorius, and Corning Life Sciences among those recognized
28 Feb 2023The world’s most innovative and effective technologies advancing drug discovery and development have been recognized during a special ceremony at the 2023 SLAS International Conference and Exhibition. Winners of the 2023 Scientists’ Choice Awards® were announced by SelectScience® Vice President, Jay Leech, and Executive Editor, Dr. Lois Manton-O'Byrne.
Now in their 16th year, the awards are unique in the industry as they are chosen by scientists. Each year, we invite scientists from around the globe to participate by nominating, reviewing, and voting for the lab products that have had the greatest impact on their work. Read on to reveal your chosen winners.
Best New Drug Discovery & Development Product of 2022
The award for Best New Drug Discovery & Development Product of 2022 goes to the Seahorse XF Pro Analyzer by Agilent Technologies, as voted for by scientists around the world.
Agilent Seahorse XF Pro Analyzers measure the oxygen consumption (OCR) and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR/PER) of live cells in a 96-well format. OCR and ECAR or PER are key indicators of mitochondrial respiration and glycolysis as well as ATP production rate. Together, these measurements provide a systems-level view of cellular metabolic function in cultured cells and ex vivo samples.
Your runners-up are:
- Solentim VIPS™ PRO from Advanced Instruments
- PhysioMimix™ NASH-in-a-box Kit from CN Bio
- Corning® Matribot® Bioprinter from Corning Life Sciences
- µPULSE® - TFF from FORMULATRIX®, Inc
- CloneSelect® Imager FL from Molecular Devices®
- Monolith X from NanoTemper Technologies
- Cellaca® PLX Image Cytometry System from Nexcelom from PerkinElmer, Inc,
- Octet® SF3 SPR System from Sartorius Group
- Gibco™ CTS™ Xenon™ Electroporation System from Thermo Fisher Scientific
