The instrument is easy to use. Hands on training is needed to clean front end and pull rails, then tune and calibrate. After sales care will depend on your sample prep methods. I recommend daily, weekly and monthly maintenance in addition to the vendor PMs. Method development on this instrument is straight forward and the system is robust.

I've used several other LC-MS products and the AB SCIEX 4500 is by the far the most reliable and easiest to learn and use. The software is straightforward and intuitive, the hardware is easy to access, clean and/or replace and the support has been outstanding. The service engineers are very responsive and knowledgeable and it's very easy to order service parts. I am able to do a good bit of the maintenance and repairs myself and being able to easily order replacement parts is very important to me. Very good product and excellent support.
