The AC Extraction Plate has been created to simplify LC-MS sample prep routines. This convenient, automation-friendly solution eliminates filtration, centrifugation and solvent evaporation steps, requiring only a simple ‘pipette and shake’ protocol.
Tecan’s revolutionary TICE™ (Tecan Immobilized Coating Extraction) technology offers a straightforward solution for the extraction of apolar small molecules – such as vitamin D, certain therapeutic drugs and testosterone – reducing sample preparation to six easy steps in a single microplate. The TICE coating is precoated onto the plates, and does not require conditioning or other pretreatments before use, providing a convenient and cost-effective solution for extraction of a broad range of small molecule analytes from biological fluids.
The AC Extraction Plate’s standard ANSI/SLAS format is suitable for both automated and manual workflows, allowing laboratories with a wide range of budgets and throughputs to benefit from this technology. The entire workflow can be performed manually with a multichannel pipette, or manually-optimized processes can be quickly and easily transferred to automated liquid handling platforms – such as Tecan’s Fluent® and Freedom EVO® workstations. This helps to standardize sample preparation, eliminating inter-operator variability and random errors to provide the consistency essential for high throughput applications.
