The Streck ARM-D multiplex PCR kit is able to detect 6 different and critical OXA gene families. For our lab, it is important to be able to detect OXA genes common in Acinetobacter baumannii. The PCR kit sold and designed by Streck makes this test compatible with their other ARM-D beta lactamase detection PCR kits. The PCR conditions are all similar and can be run on one 96-well plate. The enzyme mix is ready to use and makes the master mix quick and easy to set up. Additionally, the PCR itself is highly sensitive and only takes about a half hour to run.

Streck ARM-D Kits provide a rapid detection strategy for monitoring β-lactam antibiotic resistance. These kits have a high degree of sensitivity and specificity, providing you accurate, reliable results. Every kit includes positive controls for each gene target to monitor analytical process as well as an endogenous internal control (16SrRNA gene) to reduce false negatives due to PCR inhibition, DNA degradation or poor extraction.
All Streck ARM-D kits are compatible with most 4-channel real-time thermal cyclers. An amplification protocol and analysis guide are available for the following instruments: Applied Biosystems™ 7500 Fast and 7500 Fast Dx, QuantStudio™ 7Flex, Bio-Rad CFX96 Touch™ and QIAGEN Rotor-Gene® Q.
